Each Thursday & Saturday an open air market is held on the Market Square. A Farmers Market is held every third Saturday of the month.

The nearby town of Bawtry has a wide selection of restaurants including Italian, Chinese and Indian. There are also village pubs that serve good English food.

For those who enjoy sport there are several golf clubs in the area: Retford, Serlby Park, Styruup
& Worksop. Swimming and iceskating are available at The Dome complex in Doncaster. Also in Doncaster is the Race course home to the St Ledger. Tennis courts are available at the nearby village of Everton.

On the farm itself are three lakes, which have a wide variety of bird life both native and visiting species, adjacent to the farm is the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trusts Idle River nature reserve, which is a site of Special Scientific Interest and has a diverse variety of bird & wildlife.

We are within easy reach of York, Lincoln, Sheffield & Nottingham for those who wish to explore these cities.

Clumber Park along with Rufford Abbey provide good walking and cycling, cycles may be hired at Clumber.

For those with young children Sherwood Forest Farm Park, White Post Farm and Sundown Adventure land are all within easy reach for an exciting day out.

For the fishermen there are a many opportunities for fishing in the area including the local lakes at Wetlands in the neighbouring village of Sutton-cum-Lound.
